Artist Bio

Chanelle Ursini is a student who, before her career at OCAD university began, attend the University of Toronto.  During her studies at the University of Toronto, her love for abstract art was realized and once given the opportunity, explored at OCAD university.  Chanelle’s work has been focussed on colour and materiality in the context of pushing the boundaries of the archive within abstract art. Through this idea, Chanelle creates large-scale paintings using a wide variety of materials.  It is due to these ideas that she has had the opportunity to show her work multiple times at the Ada Slaight Gallery as well as the Mod Club with the Raw Artists organization.

Chanelle is continuously working on new pieces, both for her own research and collection, as well as commissions for private homes and murals for large buildings, such as Mackenzie Health Hospital.  She now has taken her creativity to a new canvas as a Tattoo Artist.  Chanelle Ursini continues to create pieces for her growing collection as she awaits graduating.
